Your data

delete your account

You can delete your Local Hearts Club account yourself, from inside the app, at any time. It takes about ten seconds and nobody has to approve it.

how to do it

  1. Open the Local Hearts Club app and sign in.
  2. Go to Account.
  3. Tap Edit profile.
  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete my account.
  5. Read the confirmation, then confirm.

You are signed out immediately and your login stops working. There is no waiting period and no undo.

what gets erased

Straight away, and permanently:

You also come off every team roster you are on, so you stop appearing on squad lists and check-in boards.

what stays, and why

Three things outlive the account, and none of them have your personal details on them afterwards:

Payment records

What was paid, when, and for what. This is financial history and we are required to keep it. It stays attached to an account with no name, email or contact details left on it.

Signed waivers

A waiver is the record that somebody agreed to specific wording before playing a specific season. Deleting it would erase the evidence rather than the person, so the signature stays and the person behind it does not.

Game history

Results, scores and attendance. Standings and season records are built out of these, and pulling one player's games out would rewrite results for everybody who played in them. Your name is gone from all of it.

Put plainly: after deletion nobody can work out who you were from what is left. The club keeps its books and its records, not you.

your membership, if you have one

Deleting your account cancels your membership at the same time. You do not have to cancel it separately first, and no further payment is taken.

It is cancelled immediately, not at the end of the month, and the rest of the month you have paid for is not refunded. If you would rather keep playing until the month runs out, cancel from Account, tap the settings gear, then Manage Club Pass, and delete the account later.

If we cannot reach our payment provider for any reason, nothing is deleted and we tell you so, rather than leaving you with a cancelled account and a card still being charged.

before you delete

a couple of exceptions

Organiser accounts cannot be deleted from the app. Anyone with admin access to the club console has to contact us instead, because deleting the last organiser locks the club out of its own records.

Coming back later is fine. Your email address is released when the account goes, so you can sign up again with it whenever you want. It will be a fresh account with nothing carried over.

if you cannot use the app

Lost the phone, cannot log in, or would rather we did it. Email play@localhearts.club from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is you, do it, and write back to say it is done, within 30 days.
